NTPC Darlipali has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being with the launch of its large-scale plantation drive, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ (A Tree in the Name of Mother), alongside the inauguration of the Swachhotsav – Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 cleanliness campaign.
The plantation drive took place at the administrative building premises of the project, witnessing enthusiastic participation from employees across various departments. More than 2,000 saplings of eco-friendly species like Terminalia, Gulmohar, Amaltas, and Karaj were planted. In a heartfelt gesture, each sapling was dedicated in the name of employees’ mothers, symbolizing an emotional bond with nature.
The event was graced by Shri Faiz Tayyab, Head of Project, NTPC Darlipali. He was joined by senior officials including Shri Epil Bage, General Manager (Operations & Fuel Management), Shri R.S. Maurya, General Manager (Maintenance & Ash Dyke Management), Ms. Pratibha Singh, Head of HR, and Shri D. Nandeshwar, AGM – Environment Management.
Through initiatives like these, NTPC Darlipali has consistently championed environmental protection and social responsibility. By organizing plantation and cleanliness drives regularly, the project has set an example of integrating sustainability with community welfare.
