Sundargarh:
In a major step towards strengthening local infrastructure and improving connectivity, NTPC Darlipali has initiated the construction of an approach road to the Government Polytechnic at Darlipali village. The project reflects NTPC’s continued commitment to community development in its neighbouring areas.
The road construction work, being executed through the Roads & Building Department, Sundargarh, has been sanctioned on a deposit basis at a total cost of ₹2.75 crore. The first instalment of ₹1.37 crore (50% of the total cost) was handed over to the department on October 31, 2025. The cheque was formally presented by Shri Faiz Taiyab, Head of Project, NTPC Darlipali, in the presence of Shri Ravindra Sharma, General Manager (O&M), and Ms. Pratibha Singh, Head of HR, NTPC Darlipali.
NTPC had earlier constructed the Government Polytechnic at Darlipali with an investment of ₹25 crore, which is now successfully running its second academic session. The new 1.5-km link road will provide better connectivity for students, faculty, and residents of nearby villages. It will also serve as an alternate route linking Darlipali and Brajrajnagar, easing local travel.
This initiative reinforces NTPC Darlipali’s dedication to community welfare, infrastructure development, and regional growth, ensuring improved access and quality of life for people in the surrounding areas.
